Story Behind The Song
I wrote this for my colleague who worked by my side for 8 years to improve conditions for children experiencing homelessness. Kim has a fierceness and wilingness to confront issues that is noble. This song is about the courage it takes to go against the status quo. Kim and I had released a report on the dangers of housing homeless children in motel settings. It was a stirring report which angered some people. Creating change does involve angering some people. The song references the leader Martin Luther King Jr.

Lyrics
Walk On Faith
Do you have what it takes
Do you have the strength
To walk on faith
To walk on faith
Do you see signs you believe
In a world of mystery
Do you have what it takes
To walk on faith
Will you rise from your seat
Will you stand by your word
On the steps of the monument
And let yourself be heard
When you?re black and blue
Wishful thinking is all you can do
And then your dream comes true
Walk on faith
Will you stand on the limb
Let your new life begin
Trust your heart within
To walk on faith
