Story Behind The Song
actually two songs that I joined together. I decided to tile it, "Asleep in the fields of peace". It just felt right with the chords. After writng the lyrics to match the music, I decided to have it take a turn into a different mood. I know Beatles comparisons will probably come up here but, it was new one for me. Awakening leads Susie into a loud world of running and time constraints until she comes back home. you make your own conclusions to the meaning of it all.

Lyrics
Closer, drawn in, Step thru,
See just what my mind will bring me to see
Dead faces live, alternate endings begin
Every story is in code, all I do now is observe
(Chorus)
I?m asleep in the fields of peace
Drifting, quiet, weightless,
Looking forward without a compass to guide
This is my room, my personal space where I bloom
Pieces come when they come, puzzle is done as it?s done
(Chorus)
Someday I?ll be back here for good, although part of me never leaves
Susie, get out of bed, you?re late for work, get a move on.
Back in the life that I live, every noise, filling up my mind.
In my work cube, I?ll follow instruction and work myself into oblivion.
All my secrets will be told
All my answers will unfold
I will finally come home
Asleep in the fields of peace
