Story Behind The Song
David told me the hook about everybody lives in a two story house and I didn't see it until he explained the story. We worked on a few storyboards and nothing was exciting us. Then, knowing we had to finsh it in time for the studio, further exploration of the story brought lyrics I was excited about and built a nice story around the tag. Worked out well!! EXCITED about this complete package!
Song Description
Any relationship has conflict. To realize that it is a fact of life that we all go through is half the battle of coexisting and spending time on more productive things. In the end the guy would leave her for someone else because the grass isn't greener somewhere else.

Lyrics
Sittin at the café, rehearsing what I will say
You told me we needed to talk some
I?ve memorized the menu, heard the waiter?s preview
watching the clock here at a table for two
You finally arrive with excuses
said I left a mess at home
I never listen or help in the kitchen
but what sounds more in line
Is you were just killing time
(Chorus)
My story, your story
right story and wrong story
we both have our own truth
my story, your story
right story and wrong story
everybody (D)lives in a two-story house
You say things could be better, we don?t spend time together
You wanna wear a dress and have a night out
With Jenny at the doctor, and Johnny taking soccer
Sometimes it?s hard to find a minute to speak
Baby, this is the real life
Not one of your magazines
It?s all in the way you look at your day
On one thing we agree
We test our sanity
(Chorus)
(Bridge)
No matter what we say or silly things we will do
Baby there?s no where else I?d be
Houses are the same from our own neighborhood
To mansions way out in Hollywood
(Chorus)
(To fade)
everybody lives in a two-story house
