Story Behind The Song
When I wanted to buy my first electric piano and I didn't have enough money. My guitar player was tired of practicing in my living room on my baby grand piano as he complained, "We're never going to get anywhere with you playing a baby grand. You can't be hauling that thing around!" The guitarist stormed out, the guys went home, and there I was in my living room all alone with my baby grand. I felt so bad, almost crying, and didn't know what to do. So as always, I broke out in song and questioned my purpose in playing the piano. Why am I doing this? What is my agenda? I wrote about my hungry heart to continue writing, performing, and playing. Eventually I was able to buy my piano and re-kindled the dream. But my guitarist, who was one of my most favored band members, always making me laugh, was already on another agenda and did not return. We remained friends and from time to time laugh about the past. Here is my song Hungry Heart. I hope you enjoy it.

Lyrics
What is the need
what is the purpose
What is the need
what's the agenda
And I can walk
far away
still I'll have a hungry heart
There is a need
to heal my troubled heart
Hear the need
Getting over troubled times
And you can walk
far away
still you'll have a hungry heart
Hear the need
I want to have a listening ear
To show the need
to have a hungry soul
And I will walk
far away
to do away with a hungry heart
Be with me
let me wear your smile
Be with me
let me wear your smile
Be with me
let me wear your smile
night and day
