Story Behind The Song
When someone close to me told me that she had an affair - I mourned with and for her over her choices and tried to help her through the bitterness she was going through - I found myself thinking that, through this experience, I had enough understanding of the situation to attempt writing a cheating song, As it seems that every artist has one or more in their portfolio. Then, in the middle of the very thought - I said "We don't need any more cheating songs." And thus was born the title and theme of this song. An idea never explored in music, in reference to cheating, is the inherant sadness that will inevitabely come to the cheater. Sooner or later they will grieve, No one wants to sympathise with the cheater, they want to hate the cheater. The vocals and lyrics of this song build a relationship between the listener and the singer. The listener is dissappointed that their new freind is the betrayer. The truth is, the cheater's side is never represented in it's true light. He or she is either glorified or demonized. This song reveals that cheaters are people. The act of cheating is hanous. May I introduce the idea that the cheater will eventually recognize their stupidity and mourn over it.

Lyrics
The day you left I cried so hard
Til no more tears would come
And throught the night I ran the streets
Until I couldn't run
Then I sat down to right my heart
But the words just wouldn't come
Cause the world don't need
Another Cheatin' Song
The more I live the less I care
To hear my story sung
Cause Hollywood makes bad things good
And betrayal seem not so wrong
So I make my stand here and now
Though I feel anything but strong
By refusing to write
Another Cheatin' Song
Ooh
How many broken homes will come down to
A few poetic lines
Where misery makes poetry into
Into bitter angry rhymes
I appologise for my wandring eyes
I know I'm the one who was wrong
When I traded our love
For Another Cheatin' Song
The day you left I cried so hard
Til no more tears would come
And the world don't need
Another Cheatin' Song
