Song Description
Horn driven old school r & b bluesy tune about a woman with dangerous tendencies. Excellent horn work from some of the best New Orleans players, Mark Mullins, who has been with Harry Connick, Jr.'s band for years and also played with Tori Amos, and Brian Graber, who played with Robbie Robertson, George Porter and many others. John Gros added the excellent keyboard and organ parts and solo and co-produced the track.

Lyrics
Pernicious chatter of little matter
The talk it splatters through the walls
Unsubtle vixens, they share the fixens'
They stir the cauldron seating all
Want me to wake up
You'd have me staked up
If those evil thoughts could take their shape
Have to sleep lightly
You stalk me nightly
I feel one day I'll close my eyes never to awake
And it's a Dangerous Game
To be in love with a woman who may blow out your brains
It's an ominous task
But it's hard to keep your distance
When the villain wears the prettiest mask
You make me stagger
With little daggers
That lie within that cool seductive glance
The pain's delicious
Your poison kisses sting my lips and leave me not a chance
I sometimes wonder when half in slumber
If I could break the chains you hold me in
But in the clinches my will soon flinches
My passion burns and then I feel the fangs breaking the skin
It's a dangerous game....
It's a dangerous game....
You better watch out
Better not cry
Watch for my baby
You may die
