Song DescriptionA song about feeling frustrated with the stresses of life, but having a love, and seeing so much beauty in someone else that it gives you the strength to press on.
Story Behind the SongWrote this song in my head while working as a cashier at a grocery store. The synth part was inspired by the synth from Black Eyed Peas - "Time of My Life." Programmed using Garageband MIDI.
Lyrics
Verse 1:
All of these internal pieces,
that make up the greater whole.
Sellin' out my idyllic systems.
You're feelin,
Refrain:
Simmered and stained,
the blood through your veins.
Sometimes I forget why I stay.
Must be your eyes,
must be your face,
must be that somethin' that I can't replace.
All the things you do,
the way you make me groove.
To simplify and make me feel anew.
Verse 2:
So we're killin' time, killin' deprivation,
and givin' in to dead of night.
Poke it in your arm and soak it in.
You're feelin,
Refrain
Bridge:
Carry the weight of these words on your shoulders.
