Song Description

Video Setting: think of being on tour, running, running, running, needing a break and then finally getting one. Step off the tour bus and step into your old truck and start driving back home...song starts and while you are driving home all the stress goes away and you can relax just thinking about the old days and how simple life was back then and how much you want to go back home to relax.

Story Behind the Song

Grew up living on the White River and even now it is literally like going back in time. Movie "MUDD" filmed there. It's so peaceful and in the stresses of work we just thought about how nice it is to get away from the rat race in the city and just let the old highway take me home.

Lyrics

Driven down that old highway
To a place a used to know...take me home
Where time stands still
And the White River flows... take me home

Weeping limbs of willow trees
Sets my spirit free... take me home

Getting back to that old place
Is where I wanna be...take me home

Ooh - ooh...... take me home
Ooh - ooh...... take me home

Seeing this old place
Takes me back in time.... take me home
Where my old man
Made me tow the line.... take me home

Seeing all the Cyprus trees
Sets my spirit free.... take me home

On a boat with fishing poles,
Is where I wanna be..... take me home

Ooh - ooh...... take me home
Ooh - ooh...... take me home
