Story Behind The Song
One day I say two young black guys drive a moped throuh the front window of a jewelry shop. Take all the jewels and escape while shocked onlookers watched. This kind of thing happened all the time but I saw the whole thing. I found it strange that my moral centre was confused. I knew what they did was wrong and I was scared but somehow it was a perfect crime because you had to admire the courage and desparation of these kids.
Song Description
I lived in Dalston, which is a deprived violent drug addicted corrupt inner city hole in central east London. There are massive divisions between poor and middle class. This song is about what I saw while living in this area.

Lyrics
Theives out robbing on a cold winters night
Theives out robbing on a cold winters night
You got bricks through glass
Cold little hands
Goods in bags then off on little mopeds
to the next reputable store
chain shutters guard the way
It won't stop these theiving little bastards have their way
Bolt cutters shared by two
clipping away your fortune
Then there's bricks, then there's bricks;
then there's.
Bricks through glass
Alarm bells sound,
blue lights short fuse off to dealers house.
For a heady exchange,
jewels for rocks in pockets
off to see your brother's,
brother's little daughters
Theives out robbing on a cold winters night
Theives out robbing on a cold winters night
Theives out robbing on a cold winters night
Theives out robbing on a cold winters night
