Story Behind The Song
My first relationship in London was very like my last in Australia. The woman had a child and was older than me. In this I was repeating an early pattern in hope to validate myself as a man. Looking back It was always destined to fail. The girl ended it although in the end I think that hurt her more than it hurt me.
Song Description
I wrote this song to capture the feeling of a man wanting to change waht can't be changed and the state of mind that stays with you.

Lyrics
On the fringes of my mind
the strangest feelings from the night before.
I can't tell the time that I've been waiting for this final moment.
The real world and me falls apart in the light of a new day
the real world and me falls apart in the light of a new day.
Oh no no don't step aside
Oh no no don't step aside
Oh no no don't step aside
Oh no no don't step aside
Did you get my drift or did you miss the point
Did you get my drift or did you miss the point
Did you get my drift or did you miss the point
The real world and me falls apart in the light of a new day
the real world and me falls apart in the light of a new day.
Oh no no don't step aside
Oh no no don't step aside
Oh no no don't step aside
Oh no no don't step aside
Messages on the wall above
I'm almost drunk beneath the sun
pretentending all we are is having fun
Oh no no don't step aside
Oh no no don't step aside
Oh no no don't step aside
Oh no no don't step aside
