Story Behind The Song

A demo track made for Sonic Reality for their upcoming Sonik Synth 2 (additional drums and bass are from SampleTank 2). It's just a simple little jam session with a cool sounding EP, some nice Strat plucks and a funky bass line. However, here's the twist - the EP is FX-mangled into a rhythm guitar and the lead guitar is actually a sitar put through various amps and cabs. A very retro 80's phat analog synth sound happening here.

Song Description

This is actually a little bit of sound mangling using Sonik Synth's effect section. The electric piano has been sent though a guitar amp sim to produce the rhythm guitar line that opens the song. The lead guitar is actually a sitar sample, again put through a guitar amp sim. The results are interesting given the limited pallete I gave myself. I find this tune a little repetitive though, and it's not my best work.
