Story Behind The Song

This track was an experiment in minimalism actually. I'd been waiting for a demo of IK Multimedia's SampleTank 2, and they finally posted one. It had a total sound library of only 10 presets, and I decided to challenge myself to write a tune using nothing but SampleTank 2 Free. So there's no external processing or effects applied, it's pure ST2 Free.

Song Description

The mood I was in while composing this was one of moving on, a seachange; we were in the process of moving house and boxes were everywhere and the kids were packing up their rooms. It's a little short at 1:47, so one day I will come back to this tune and make something more substantial out of it. As it stands, it's a nice little prelude sort of track.
