we wasn't always perfect we may skip a day or two

but we wasn't doin drugs nor totin guns to school

There was a lot less crime before our roads were paved

a criminal would'nt walk two dusty miles to rob or to rape

he knew he'd be welcomed by five barkin dogs

and a double barrel twelve gauge that was the law
