Song Description

Multiple harmonies on the chorus emphasise the joyful message that we will all enjoy heaven one day. This song deals with the perennial theme of life and death but has a really positive vibe to it!

Story Behind the Song

The song came from a recent spritual experience I had which changed me from an atheist/agnostic to finding my faith.

Lyrics

BELIEVE

I WAS WALKIN' DOWN THE ROAD
OF OLD FAMILIAR WAYS
WONDERIN' WHERE I WAS HEADING TO
IN THE AUTUMN OF MY DAYS
AND I DON'T MIND TELLING YOU
THAT I'D MISUNDERSTOOD
EVERYTHING THAT I THOUGHT WAS GOLD
WAS ONLY PAINTED WOOD

I BELIEVE IN THE END
THERE'S A PLACE WHERE WE'LL MEET AGAIN
DESTINY LEADS US ON
TO THE PLACE THAT WE COME FROM

I BELIEVE THAT THE POWER OF LOVE
IS THE STORY OF OUR LIVES
AND YOU CAN TELL BY THE WEIGHT OF THE LOAD
IT'S NEVER GONNA DIE
AND IN THE TIMES WHEN I CAN FEEL
THE DARKNESS IN MY SOUL
THAT'S THE TIME FOR REACHING OUT
TO FIND A HAND TO HOLD

I BELIEVE IN THE END
THERE'S A PLACE WHERE WE'LL MEET AGAIN
DESTINY LEADS US ON
TO THE PLACE THAT WE BELONG

WE ARE ALL JUST TRAVELLERS
ON THE ROAD MY FRIEND
WAITING FOR THE JOURNEY'S END
JUST AROUND THE BEND
AND SOME FALL ON STONY GROUND
AND SOME FLY IN THE SKY
DOESN'T MATTER WHERE YOU'RE FROM
YOU'LL KNOW THE REASON WHY
