Cool song!! I myself like tributes like this, although I'm not sure how much of a commercial market there is for them. This is really well done. I like the arrangement....simple but appropriate with some real tasty guitar licks. Vocal is heartfelt and quite good.

    - Greg Johnson

Sounds a little like Neil Young in a country mode, nice vocals, some soulful guitar, and long list of the greats.

    - Jeff Maguire

Good Music

Ol' Jerry Reed, he's a pickin' on the guitar
Tony Joe White, he's a singing real low
Levon Helm, he's a banging on the bongos
Man, these guys got that touch of soul
There's only one cat left that does it all
And everyone knows that it's Taj Mahal

Robert Johnson sure could play and sing
And Muddy Waters made the guitar ring
If the thrill is gone and you've lost your zing
Listen to the sounds of BB King
Of course there's Eric Clapton, gotta give him a nod
Everybody used to say "Clapton is God" ...
Amen Brother, Amen
--- Chorus ---
Oh, dossiedoe, Country, blues, folk, rock-n-roll
Oh, I've come to know, good music's gonna sooth your soul
My, my hey, hey, Let it roll
Yeah, yeah, good music's in my soul
-----------------
Maybe Hank Williams would have done it like this
But I don't believe Pete Seeger was a communist
Songs of Woody Guthrie used to free this land
And the words of Bob Dylan help us understand
That the answer is illusive, but it's floating in the breeze
And who sang with his tongue in cheek," Please Don't Bury Me"
John...Prine, that's right...John...Prine
--Repeat Chorus--
Oh, twelve bar blues, you only sing it when there's nothing to lose
Oh, pass it along, there's nothing better than a real folk song
Oh, do as you choose, Rock-N-Roll is all attitude
Oh, the heart of the land, is found in a country band
My, my hey, hey, Let it roll
Yeah, yeah, good music's in my soul
