Story Behind The Song
My girlfriend's father had the first three lines of the chorus in mind--just the words, without a melody--and asked if I could turn them into a full song. Having personally experienced the grip of addiction, the inspiration came naturally.

Lyrics
I'm gone. Destination unknown.
A stone's throw from my favorite watering hole.
I'm exiled, rightfully so.
I haven't found my way, even though I never missed a day of work.
My calloused hands may never hold my damsels
Her number's in my pocket, but I'm
I'm exiled, rightfully so.
Whiskey walking down the hallway. Bouncing off the walls.
Looking for my bedroom in the bathroom stall.
Waking up early, choking on a smoke.
I'm broke, and the folks I spoke to think I'm a joke.
I'm exiled, rightfully so.
What happened? It's the wrong napkin. Where's her number?
Car keys a skew. I'm a loving man, it's true.
I'm on the grind tirelessly
But the booze makes it hard to get from point A. To point B.
