Story Behind The Song
I have suffered from depression for as long as I can remember. Sometimes it can be debilitating and the world seems a very dark place. I wanted to portray in this song a sense of how depression can make you feel.

Lyrics
There's A Darkness In My Soul (Rob Watkins)
There's a darkness in my soul
Away, go away, it won't go away.
Intense feelings I can't control
Away, go away, it won't go away.
I never asked sorrow into my world, my world
I never asked sorrow into my world.
There's a cloud that hangs over me
Away, go away, it won't go away.
Casts a shadow over all I see
Away, go away, it won't go away.
I never asked sadness into my world, my world
I never asked sadness into my world.
Ooh, ooh, ooh I feel low, never felt this low before
Ooh, ooh, ooh.
Ooh, ooh, ooh I feel low, never felt this low before
Ooh, ooh, ooh.
There's a restlessness in my mind
Away, go away, it won't go away
It makes the whole world seem so unkind
Away, go away, it won't go away.
I never asked sorrow into my world, my world
I never asked sorrow into my world.
