Lyrics
Movin On
The kids gather round like lonely clowns out side
A girl cries in the alley askin no one there, to tell her why?
Oh, come the morning time, they?ll be scratching their aching heads
And like rebels on the run, without any guns
They?ll be climbing into unmade beds
And I?ll be movin on
The prophets of the streets, the poets and beats crowd the empty stalls
And with pens in hand, they shoot their ink in dirty toilet stalls
Hey, in that bus stop bathroom in Tulsa Dylan asked me for my soul
Well, I had none I said, ?let?s look for some? and he just told me ?NO!, gotta be movin on, and I keep on movin?
And I was movin on, oh well allright
Lalalala lalala
Lalalalalala
Up in the northern lands, they make their stand, some in an angry rage
And with an undying spirit, found so rewarding
Locked inside an invisible cage
Well, one screamed so real, just how it feels and it showed me the way
Ah, but that shot gun blast, well, hell it made me sad
And then I heard a ghost say, ?
gotta be movin on
Oh yeah, oh well, oh nevermind, and I was movin on, and I?ll be movin alone
And when the devil said shoot, I grabbed my beatle boots and I let my face grow long
And I was movin on
and I'll keep on movin'
and I was movin' on
and I'll be movin alone
