Song Description
"Traveller" is the introductory piece to a series of instrumental tone poems comprising the album "Frontiers". Its gently pulsing tempo and subtly shifting meters suggest scales and tonalities from some exotic place. Featured on this one is a soaring electric violin with solo synthesizer added over lush, cool string pads. Like all of the cuts on Frontiers, "Traveller" has a big, expansive sound.
I was travelling across the country on a bus years ago. This melody came into my head during the long journey...in fact it would not let me go until I "agreed" to record it.
