After You Left I wanted to write something really sad, in the romantic sense, and this is what showed up. It's never easy when someone leaves you, it's like a hole has been ripped in you where your heart used to be. A simple trio of instruments paints the picture; a piano, oboe, and a nice synth pad was all it took.
