Song Description

A driving rock song in the style of Evanescence about somebody ready to make a big change but with the support of someone they love.

Story Behind the Song

This song is one that poured out of me really quickly. I had just made the decision to do something that I knew was going to be difficult but I also knew I had to do. So as I sat in my car pondering the implications of my chosen path, this dialog came rolling out along with a sense that as long as I was doing what I knew to be right, I wouldn?t be left alone. - Evette Dutton

Standing On The Edge
By Evette Dutton

I?m standing on the edge of changing my life
I?m ready for this big leap of faith
One thing remains for me to do before the night
I need to memorize your face

Will you be here when the storm comes?
Will you be near when I need your warm embrace?
Will you be close when the waves crash
To bring me back to my home at last?

So stay here in my arms we?ll wait for the dawn
Tomorrow will bring what it may
We?ll leave this place and never turn around
Until the love we lost is found

Will you be here?
Will you mine?
Will you be close
For me to find?

Bring me back
Bring me back
Bring me back home
Bring me home
Bring me home
Bring me back home
