Story Behind The Song

The inspiration behind this song is the sequence of correspondence between Thomas Jefferson and James Madison around the time of the Constitutional Convention, embedded in a "boy asking girl to run away with him" kind of song. We loved to write multi-layered songs...this is one of them.
