Song DescriptionAcoustic Singer-Songwriter style folk with an easy moving 6/8 groove. Simple arrangement. Focus on finding "Home", and lost love.
Story Behind the SongThis is the story off a drifter, someone with the constant urge to move, travel, leave, move on. No place feels like home. This person has lost love, either through separation or death, and can't feel settled until they are reunited. So they will continue to wander, homeless, loveless, until that day.

Broadjam Member Reviews
A very well played and well sung song. Guitar sound quality is crisp and clear. Vocals are in tune and emotive.
I generally like the lyrics. They're descriptive, but leave a little open to listener interpretation.
I like the change of energy in the bridge. It really livens the song up.

Lyrics
Alone in this room with these counterfeit comforts
Borrowed warmth fills the covers
And sleep may come soon,
But sanity is temporary
in the makeshift sanctuary
And all the world fades to a blur,
until I get to you.
I want to go home, home.
I want to go home.
It all looks the same
The scenery changes, but the cities are nameless
Take off again,
Don't want loneliness to catch me,
Look to my headphones for distraction
And all the world fades to a blur,
until I get to you.
I want to go home, home.
I want to go home.
So light the fire, keep that candle in the window,
And wear a smile for me,
Though I don't know just when I'll be with you again,
Know there's no place that I'd rather be
I want to go home,
I want to go home,
I want to go home, home,
I want to go home, home.
