Story Behind The Song

"What Child is This" has always intrigued me, with its Renaissance scale elements and the many different versions available that disagree on whether the sixth note and seventh note should be sharp, flat, or whatever. I have played with these elements in this theme and variations. In addition, I recall a friend of mine singing this as a solo when I was very young. . . "This, this is Christ the King" stayed in my mind long after the words of "Greensleeves" had come and gone . . .
