Story Behind The Song
I lived in NYC from 2000 thru 2003 and deeply and desperately missed it after I left to go on the road with a tour.
It was so intense that I called my writing partner Bryan Steele and told him I needed to get it on paper and record my liitle homage to my city.

Lyrics
The naked cowboy's strutting his stuff
Shaking up Times Square
No time to grab a picture, no time to stop and stare
A million different people, goin' a million different ways
Chorus
That's what I miss about New York City
You can find fun 24 hours a day
I like my city just a little more gritty
I wanna go back, and I wanna stay
Take the A train at 181, gonna head downtown
Billy's playing in The Garden tonight
Solid wall of sound
A million things are happening, on a million different days
Chorus
That's what I miss about New York City
You can find fun 24 hours a day
I like my city just a little more gritty
I wanna go back, and I wanna stay
Grab a famous Ray's slice to go, and I hit the street
There's a party out in Brooklyn tonight, got some friends to meet
A million hearts are pumping to that New York City beat
Chorus
That's what I miss about New York City
You can find fun 24 hours a day
I like my city just a little more gritty
I wanna go back, and I wanna stay
Repeat chorus to end.
