Song Description

Does he really love her, or is it the fancy cars she owns.

Story Behind the Song

Well, no other way to put it, The gal was fat, and homely...really homely, BUT she had the coolest car in the county. I'd see a bunch of girls on the sidewalk and throw my cigarettes on the floorboard so she would have to "duck down" to pick them up.

This song is pretty good.It has a uplifting sound to it and a good catchy hook. The instrumentation is of good quality. The Vocals are clear and pitched very well. The record quality is very good. This song is very marketable.

    - Rodney Magee

Nice up beat country style tune. The instruments are busy, the songs just flows from beginning to end. Nice guitar solo. Original lyrics. A fun sounding song. People can sing along with it. I could hear this played anywhere this style of music is played. It could fit in a movie. Good Job, Keep up the good work.

Lyrics

I don't need no money honey; I don't need no cash.
And whether you believe it or not. I don't need no mansion, nor a diamond ring, they really don't thrill me a lot.
But there's something 'bout you baby, and I've been thinkin' maybe, you and me could really go far.
I've told you that I love you; I'm always thinkin' of you.
Now c'mon let me drive yo' car.

MMMMMMM it sets my soul on fire,
(spoken) to hear the singing of a radial tire.

MMMMMMM c'mon and knock off my socks;
I'm in a paradox of engine knocks.
(Lead riff)

Baby,if you please, I'm gonna take that key, and put it right in the slot.
I'm gonna step on the gas; I'm gonna talk a little trash,
until your motor's runnin nice and hot.
We'll head out on the highway, Baby, racin' down the byways; drop it down in overdrive.
And when we get "there", I'm gonna mess up your hair,
'cause Baby I have finally "arrived"

So Baby let me drive yo' car; I really wanta drive yo' car.
It gives me such a thrill to drive a Coupe De Ville, just like a rhinestone rodeo star.
Now I can see your thinkin', I'm in love with your Lincoln, but I really wouldn't go that far.
So put your mind at ease; Check your seat belt please,
and Baby let me drive yo'car.
MMMMMMM it sets my soul on fire,
to hear singing of a radial tire.
MMMMMMM, c'mon and knock off my socks;
I'm in a paradox of engine knocks.
I hope you understand, that I'm the kind of man thats gonna love you 'till the cows come home.
But when I see an El Dorado;I become a desperado; a beast right down to the bone.

Baby let me drive yo' car,
(ahh you know I love ya Honey)
I really wanta drive yo'car.

Baby Let me drive yo' car,
(just slide on over)
I really wanta drive yo' car.

Baby let me drive yo' car
(let me sit in the driver's seat)
I really wanta drive yo'car

Baby let me drive yo'car
(Yeah, thats mo' like it)
I really wanta drive yo'car

Baby let me drive yo' car,
( sweet, sweet, sweet)
I really wanta drive yo'car
