Song Description

This song is written to a girl I had a nice romantic time with in Olympia, Washington on tour. I was pretty sick and she basically nursed me back to health. I was waiting in her kitchen and I recalled feeling an amazingly simple and hollow feeling. I was just present and nothing thinking much of anything, it was lovely. So I figured I would recap all the sweet moments at her house that helped me recover and give the girl a song of her own.

Lyrics

I'm hollow inside
bake me brown me there's no
other way to paint a pretty mile.

Knowing the emptiness is golden
There's no rush filling space left in this crown.

The way you draw your lines
The way your body lies
Leaves me breathless.

I set my dark eyes deep
Lay my head back and replay you undress.

Singing...

This north it's mighty cold
The kind of cold I like to find offensive.
And you and I we build a steam that's meant to gently up and rise above it.

And there's no better time
To simply refuse to discuss this.
We say our sweet Good-Byes
See you some near time, top of my list.

Hollow Inside...

The way you draw your lines,
the way your body lies
Leaves me breathless.
Singing baby please, spare these subtle knees slide up your dress.

Grins that hurt so sweet
Let the lead out beat it with your palms wide.
A little sun cracks through,
Glowy glance at you
Hollow Inside.

Singing na na na na na, na na na na na.
