Story Behind The Song
While living in paris, I met a wonderful man...yet the sadness in my heart for my family and friends...moreover, my country provoked me to write this piece. I still rest, as before...undecided.
Song Description
This woman is sad and lonely in one respect, missing her homeland and all that she remembers in her past, yet she has fallen in love with someone in another country and feels bound to him out of such love and desire to be with him. However, she is torn...and she hopes that like the movement of the running water, some other force will lead her where she needs to go. the decision is too painful. In fact, her indecision is the context of the piece, a fight between with her love for a man and the need to return home.

Lyrics
It's 2 A:M, I'm talking with my mom on the telephone
she says honey it's time to pack up your things
say good bye, and come on home
but how can i leave, when i just don't know what to do
my memory takes me far away
but my heart always leads me back to you
CHORUS
Running water, free me from this place
Let your current take me, where i oughta go
Wash out my eyes and smooth the lines of my face
so in the morning i might know...
come with me, and i will show you the way
to where my heart has been hiding for so long
lost and burried in yesterday
but hold on tight, and promise me that you can hold on
cause the road has no directions ahead
and there's a chance tomorrow i might gone
CHORUS
Bridge
Give me a sign, just tell me when the time is right
i see a man all dressed up in grey
and me, i am dressed in white
take my hand, let's take a walk along the Seine
cause there's a moon over paris tonight
lighting up this great city we're living in
CHORUS
