Celia Rose

Combining her strong love of poetry with her natural
southern style, Celia Rose of Alabama completed
her first album in 2000. She has traveled the world,
performing with bands in Israel, Haiti, Europe and the U.S.
While in Haiti, her band received major TV coverage and her
first album received airplay by six major radio stations.
Being fluent in french, Celia decided to move to France,
where she met her talented singing partner, Johannah, and
formed a group called Wrapped in Rain. They toured 8 countries in Africa as U.S. Cultural Ambassadors for the State Department.

After recording a second album in France, Celia moved to New York where she recorded her most recent album, Stories. Currently, Celia is back in Port-au-Prince, Haiti where she's performing with Haitian musicians and working towards recording a new album of tunes mixing her own folk-rock style with that of the island of Haiti.

Celia Rose bio

Singer/songwriter Celia Rose is currently living and performing in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Originally from Alabama, this folk-rock (sometimes a bit country) musician has performed throughout Africa as a U.S. Cultural Ambassador with her band Wrapped in Rain, has completed three albums of original songs. Having lived in Israel, France, New York and Haiti, she loves mixing her style with that of local musicians from around the world.
