Song Description

I wish I could say there's a deep meaning to this song but it's pretty self-explanatory. I'd like to see it hit the Christian Contemporary market.

Story Behind the Song

This is probably the only "happy" and uplifting song I have ever written, which naturally has my therapist confused as hell...DMB

Life's short; time is both a friend and enemy,
With each act we carve our own history.
Open up; don't keep it bottled up inside,
Cause the value of living's in the good we leave behind.
In each of us a power exists,
To spread love and wonder if we just commit...

Random acts of kindness and senseless acts of beauty,
If you can change someone else's attitude then it's your duty.
Show them that the world is waiting,
Don't waste time just contemplating,
Smile with your life and life will shine on you.

Each day is a gift, a present to be shared,
With those whose vision may be clouded by despair,
Witness the power of a single outstretched hand,
Or the healing of the words, "I understand."
If you look deep inside of your soul,
You might find the pieces to make another person whole
