Song Description

This song is sung from the perspective of a woman who keeps trying to leave a dysfunctional relationship, but the paradox is, everytime she abadons her lover, she's the one left feeling stranded.

Story Behind the Song

This song was inspired by watching relationships in which the 2 people involved really shouldn't be together (for moral, personal, whatever reasons) but that they are still drawn together by physical and emotional attraction that over rides their senses.

Lyrics

Stranded
You are the ghost behind my blank stare
How can I quit you when you're everywhere?
You are the hand resting on my heart
I can't forget the touch that leaves a scar
You're with me where ever you are

I can't be your lover
Don't know how to be your friend
Climbing out of each other
Crawling back in
You can't be my shelter
When you're the one who brings the storm
We're bound together
And completely torn
And I don't understand it
Leaving you leaves me stranded

You are the dream behind my restless nights
I wake up soaked in sweat, calling for the light
You are the fingers tips that brush my cheek
The soft caress that always cuts so deep
You're everything that I shouldn't need

Repeat chorus

Tell me how to be with you
Tell me how to be without you
Tell me how to live without you
