Song Description

You never know what each new day will bring. You have to be "Ready" to face each day, knowing that all the experiences of your past, good and bad, have prepared you for the moment you are living right now. You can chose to lay down & die or you can chose to accept what comes and make the best of every day you are given.

Story Behind the Song

This song was inspired mainly by my desire and my long journey in the process of becoming a mom. I realized that the commitment of becoming a parent would have a huge impact on my life & I would need to be willing to face each new day with confidence and a "I can handle this" attitude.

Lyrics

Ready
These eyes, these eyes, these eyes
Have seen beauty
These eyes, these eyes, these eyes
Have seen truth
These eyes, these eyes, these eyes
Have seen deception
These eyes, these eyes, these eyes
Can see through

Ready to rise, ready to fall
Ready to face down my fear
And tear out the walls
Ready to give, ready to let go
Ready to lay myself down
And start it all over tomorrow

This heart, this heart, this heart
Has known safety
This heart, this heart, this heart
Has known wrong
This heart, this heart, this heart
Has known empty
This heart, this heart, this heart
Is still strong

Repeat chorus

These arms, these arms, these arms
Have been protection
These arms, these arms, these arms
Have been bruised
These arms, these arms, these arms
Have been burdened
These arms, these arms
Are open wide for you

Repeat chorus
