This was inspired by what my wife used to say to me before we would say goodbye to each other on the phone. We were living in separate states at the time.

This song describes two lovers saying goodbye to each other, either in person or over the phone. Before leaving or actually saying goodbye, one says to the other, "Dream about me tonight".
