Lyrics
The sun still shines bright on the corn fields below
And the stars in the heavens continue to glow
Not much will ever change but the heart of my soul
It's battered and bruised but it somehow stays whole
Her smile was so sweet that it captured my heart
There was something so special there right from the start
There's peace to be found though my heart breaks within
I pray to the Lord let the healing begin
Like a beautiful rose that blooms in its time
So easily treasured but too quickly dies
Like a beautiful rose through soft gentle sighs
I'll remember her always with tears in my eyes
Gone from my arms not enough words were spoken
The bond that was made can never be broken
The light from her sweet eyes I'll always remember
It burns in my heart like an undying ember
Like a beautiful rose that blooms in its time
So easily treasured but too quickly dies
Like a beautiful rose through soft gentle sighs
I'll remember her always with tears in my eyes
Bittersweet heartache the memories linger
With all of my love the angels now bring her
I know there's a heaven and I know that she's there
If I didn't believe it'd be too hard to bear
Like a beautiful rose that blooms in its time
So easily treasued but too quickly dies
Like a beautiful rose through soft gentle sighs
I'll remember her always with tears in my eyes
Like a beautiful rose through soft gentle sighs
I'll remeber her always with tears in my eyes
