Story Behind The Song

This is a song originally in the 1903 operetta "Babes in Toyland." It was also in the 1934 film "March of the Wooden Soldiers." It is now in the public domain as it was originally published over 100 years ago.

Song Description

I developed a comedic character circa 1969 named Bubbling Benny. The character was created utilizing the same recording technique as for Alvin and the Chipmunks. Benny cannot sing, is often vulgar (though not in this recording). I thought it would be amusing to open my Christmas Card 2000 album with a comedic take on this public domain Christmas song.
