Story Behind The Song
I was waiting in a room for a man to finally come out and visit. A man I had been involved with for a while. As a woman in my 20's I was getting ready for "the real thing" and growing impatient with behavior that felt young and non-committal. The song became a source of strength and resonates with other women particulary at that same age.

Lyrics
Need
The insecurity grows minute by minute
As I wait for you to come
I?m down in the valley
Caught in it
Trying to keep my vulnerability on
And I know that you love me
More than you ever have before
And I know that I love you too
And I know we need more
So reach down deeper still
And we?ll both do what we can
Cause I need to be a woman now and you need to be a man
I need to be a woman now and you need to be a man 2X
Forgiveness she comes to us
And tries to show us her ways
I need to forgive myself for not always being strong I need to
Forgive you for not knowing what to say
I need to be a woman now and you need to be a man 2X
