DOLPHIN.
Long before it was modernized at the old Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, I connected with a dolphin that was imprisoned in a watery cell only slightly larger than he was. Our eyes and minds met telepathically, and I felt his misery and realized he was going insane from his cruel incarceration. Since I couldn?t carry a half-ton dolphin under my arm down Lake Shore Drive, we both knew there was nothing that I could do except send him my love and compassion. Dolphins speak in a clicky staccato and my song is more whale-like, but at least it gives the feel of the environment in which they live.
