Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song when I fell in love for the first time in my life. I then realized that many - maybe most - people do not ever truly fall in love during their lifetimes. I could have settled for something less and never had the opportunity.
Song Description
Love is a goal for everyone but what is it and how does one know when it arrives? It brings with it so many feelings but maybe those other feelings (e.g., excitement, lust, etc.) can be mistaken for love. In the song it dawns on the person that he/she has fallen in love for the first time. Regardless of what happens the person can say that he/she now knows what it is like to be in love. Oddly, to hope that he/she dies first because if the other person did then the pain would be unbearable. Stepping in front of a bullet would be the only option. More immediate - appreciating each moment together!
