Song DescriptionThe singer is in love with a married woman. He knows it's wrong and it isn't going to work out but can't stop it. This is a great rock song and you can dance to it.
Story Behind the SongI met the lyricist Herb Conner through an AOL group for lyricists and was inspired by the words to set them to music. I hired Dave Holodnak to record the piece. I was so excited when I hear it for the first, time I took it to the radio station in Wenatchee, Washington and they played it on the air. This was the first time I heard a song of mine played on the air. I was 58 years old and had been writing music for about 28 years. I knew when I heard this song it was going to change my life.
Lyrics
Bad Love
Bad Love, Bad Love.
Bad Love, Bad Love.
There's no need to ask where all this will lead.
We know the road goes nowhere from here.
The conscience will mask the unspoken need,
That comes from having you near.
I know you can see how I try to fight it,
But honestly baby the spark has been ignited.
Bad Love, Bad Love.
Bad Love, Bad Love.
I can't figure out how all this began.
It's quite beyond my comprehension.
I can't help but doubt that a stronger man,
could resist the mounting tender tension
I know you can feel the pure desire,
That I must conceal while burning in the fire
Bad Love, Bad Love.
Bad Love, Bad Love.
Chorus
It's not supposed to be the way that this is.
Still you offer me something more than kisses.
Bad Love coming through, hits you as it misses.
Bad Love offers you something more than kisses.
