Slackstring is the perfect moniker for the band. Laid back, groovy music providing the soundtrack for summer barbeques and the sport of sunset watching.

Born out of the long term musical relationship of Gavin Heaney, Matt Muir, and Eric Lyman, and throwing hometown crony Brett Thomas into the mix, Slackstring takes influence from artists they have shared the stage with from Sublime to Jack Johnson to Slightly Stoopid to Gary Busey to Pennywise. (well, maybe not Gary Busey).

Slackstring currently has one CD for sale (see our website or www.cdbaby.com) and is presently working on their follow up effort (should be out by the new year).

The best understanding of Slackstring however, is not to read textual descriptions, but to experience it first hand, preferably with a cocktail in hand and a friend or two to share. So download the tunes, buy the CD, come to a show, relax, and enjoy!
