Skizzo Franick is the alter ego of Vienna based producer and film composer Philipp Peltz. As a jack-of-all-trades and a master of some he was involved in numerous musical projects for the last 12 years. Under his chosen monica Skizzo Franick, he primarily produces tracks in the genres dub, chill out and funky breakbeats, released on different labels and compilations.
Skiz (that is how friends call him, besides some weird other nicknames which can't be mentioned here) also collaborated and remixed plenty of underground and better known artists (e.g. Ursula1000, Plemo, Hindoslem, Tal M. Klein, Lavinia Jones, Virginia Jetzt etc.). Skiz enjoys playing live with his band Malaxe (www.malaxe.com) and sometimes goes wild with funky dub to technoid DJ-sets.
His wide musical and technological interests lead to an eclectic style of music which cannot be pigeonholed and offers multiple surprises for the listeners.

About Malaxe

Malaxe was formed in Vienna in December 2004 and currently is Philipp Peltz and Christopher Michaelsen. Their debut album The Beating Heart was recorded in Vienna (Austria) and Sydney (Australia) in late 2005/06.

Picture a boy group with two fancy guys in their early twenties, fresh looking with pumped-up bodies and strong hair. Their dance style is hot: weaving arms, athletic jumps and super fast steps with baggy street-style dubs. Wearing white singlets and posh sneakers, they sing in high eunuch voices about money, fame, fast sports cars and girls. And now picture the complete opposite: that's Malaxe!

Two legendary chaps with thinning hair, still pretty young on paper, but you can tell they've been around for a while. Their dance moves are somewhat reduced to an absolute minimum, often comprising of a rhythmic nodding only. But wait, Phil is occasionally attacked by the daemons of hiphop-dance and performs some incredibly fast steps (you might be able to witness this at some of their live shows). Their fashion style is rather classical and dark-coloured (tailor-made suits are a favorite).

The band's style is hard to pin down and ranges from melancholic cynicism to comfy easy listening. Most of the songs combine traditional song-writing with groovy electronic programming. Warm pianosounds and acoustic guitars meet mind-warping atmospherics while relaxed jazz-style brush snares alternate with wicked electronic beats.
