Having studied classical and jazz music in violin, piano, and voice, since the fresh age of 4,
in South Africa, she knew this would ultimately form the basis for her image and talent
in the commercial music industry .
It has been a long, hard road for her.
Shylo had to learn to adjust very quickly, to a new country at the age of 18,
not knowing what was around the corner, and doing it alone, but hoping for the best:
“It’s built my character – fighting alone for a while!” she says.
Now she is working with UK based Publishing Company, Artology International,
and world acclaimed producers, under the name Redfly, from Sweden.
Shylo has also incorporated her violin and string arrangements into some songs,
which form another layer for listeners.
However, one thing is very evident:
Shylo will have longevity because of her flexibility and versatility
as a female solo artist and songwriter
– and this is truly what she breathes.
