Bio

Recording Academy member, Shomari Andrews, hails from Brooklyn, New York, where he started his music journey first learning and performing Classical music with Patricia Robinson of The Stuyvesant School of Music. He was introduced in the Gospel genre as a member of the Concord Baptist Church Drum and Bugle Corporation where he learned to play brass instruments and percussions. His skills led him to become the drum major for the Corp at the age of 12. In Piney Woods High School he was the choir's accompaniest and was a member of the quartet that toured in Africa. At Hampton University he majored in music engineering with a minor in voice and piano performance. He was also the University and Concert choir's accompaniest with whom he toured the East Coast and the Mid-West. After working with local artists in Hinesville, GA he continued his journey to Atlanta where he work with many local Artists one being the new sensation Escobanton with his hit single Take A Ride With Me. It was with Freddie Hendrick's Youth Ensemble of Atlanta (YEA), he learned the art of impromptu musical composition. It was also through YEA he has worked with great talent such as D Woods of Danity Kane, Justin Ellington, formely of Bangledesh Productions, High Risk, Jahi Kearse, Duaine Martin from Stomp the Yard, Life the Great from Urban Acres Entertainment, Za Williams from Arrested Development, HAZ of Critical Sounds Productions and many other talented up and coming artists. ASCAP sponsored Istandard producers showcase winner December 2008. From his works he launched Razafuss Productions (Raise a fuss) and began working with various artists from Minneapolis, New York, Atlanta, North Carolina, California, Iowa and Virginia.
