His musical influences range from the Folk of Donovan to the punk sound of The Clash. His own songs often blend several genres of music, including (but not limited to) folk, funk, jazz, blues, rock, hip-hop, and pop. His lyrics are thought-provoking, his guitar playing ranges from funky,percussive beats to finger-picked melodies.
