I hate musical classifications!
Robin is a singer songwriter born in the UK who moved out to the USA 5 or 6 years ago.
He has recorded two solo CDs of original compositions on his 24 track digital home studio. He's a multi-instrumentalist who sings, plays keyboards, guitar and sax and programs, engineers and mixes all his stuff too.
The studio is bulit around 24 track ADAT, with loads of nice "real" outboard gear (Lexicon, TC Electronics etc), lots of synths including the excellent Korg Karma, loads of guitars, including a Brian Moore MIDI Guitar, some nice mics (Neumann TLM 103 etc).
He also plays live on his own or in various different combos.
He's available for interesting and challeging projects!!
Robin also works for Sibelius Software, one of the world's best music software companies.

None that do the range of stuff I do, but in singer-songwriter terms, I guess it'd be someone like David Gray. In "classical" terms, it would be Herbert Howells or William Walton.

Bio

Robin Hodson was born in London and formed his own bands starting at age 16.
He combines being a multi-instrumentalist (vocal/keyboard/guitar and sax) with strong writing chops in a variety of styles (singer songwriter as well as contemporary Christian and overtly sacred music).
Amongst other bizarre credits, he has worked with Bing Crosby and Leonrad Bernstein!
His two recent solo CDs are "The Fire of Love" and "The Battle of Me", and his choral music has been performed all over the world.
He has a 24 track digital studio at his home in Baltimore, and is also in demand as an engineer and producer in a variety of genres. As if that isn't enough, he also works in the music industry as a software rep for www.sibelius.com, covering the whole eastern seaboard.
