Phil DeVille singer songwriter with the Americana Acoustic Duo Smith DeVille emerged as a leading artist in the Denver 1980's rockabilly scene with the band Mustang Lightning. Now performing with Mandy Smith, he's been playing since he was 17 with his first band Mojo Nixon and is well known for his guitar sound. He's releasing songs with Smith DeVille and and continues to release his own projects as well. He most recent paying homage to his hero's Dick Dale and Link Wray by releasing 13 songs of mainly surf instrumentals on "Chopper Surf Guitar Club"; Phil performs locally in Houston Texas with Smith DeVille and still plays in Denver with original band mate Lance Bakemeyer of the Hill Billy Hellcats as Mustang Lightning. After being signed to New Rose Records and moving to New Orleans in the 90's along side Mike Voelker of Little Big Horn he continued on to tour and play with some great bands including Cowboy Mouth, Southern Culture on the Skids & Stray Cats. He went on to record with Alex Chilton, Michael Wray, Barry Cowsill, John Sinclair and Andre Williams. Phil continues writing, performing and producing out of Katy Texas.
