Open Source Artist Profile

Behind the Open Source project is Angelos Mavros from Athens, Greece. Angelos began making music under the alias OutSid3r in 1999 and has been constantly improving his outputs since then.

In 2004, he started releasing music under the name "Open Source", as he switched from trackers to a professional DAW. All of his productions include prominent melodies and deep ambience that reflect the producer's melancholic psyche.

In 2005, Angelos founded Ghost Label records, a label dedicated to electronic music that has released the majority of his tracks.

Open Source embraced the overwhelming popularity of electronic music and infused the EDM scene with his unique, soulful sound. His outstanding live performances, in combination with his versatile musical style, have earned him a worldwide audience across multiple global venues.

One morning I awoke on deck of our US Navy ship moored to the dock in Pireaus, and looike to the right, and said "what a beautiful site, to see the Acropolis on the horizon..." then later that afternoon, from the of the Acropolis, looked to the left, and seeing the US Navy ships moored and anchored at Pireaus miles away, thought, "Oh my God how ugly..." That should have told me something, not sure just what, but I will never forget whatever it was trying tBroadjam but this FROM ATHENS WITH LOVE, comes jpretty close, I really like it, which is also unusaual because I usually do not like this kind of song. Good work.
