Olenik is a high energy hard rock/alternative/grunge band. "We have an excellent balance between melody and in your face rock. There isn't a day that goes by we don't try something new though. I think a band should not be limited to just one genre, so we like to experiment with whatever pops in our heads. - Dave" At this point in time Olenik can be found playing mostly in Wyoming while they make their first album.

I think the best way to do this is to let each member tell a little about the band.

JASON'S BIO: This is Jason, the bassist, or low end theory dood in the band. Yea, I play bass, cuz I can't play with a pick like Ol Davey and Master Gray bush, Derek, can. Obviously I got more chances to use my fingers in life then Dave and Derek, and they got more use out of their Wrists...oh well.

One of our lifetime Roadies and booze hounds, Timmy Two Toes, just interpreted a dream I had last nght. He sad "the dream represents a straightforward prediction of good friends and true companionship."

The band pretty much is what I think that applies to. We are great pals, we all go out and drink, we all think on the same level (or at close to), we all have the (or close to again) standard of morals, and we all like the same type of music, and entertainment!! So making music with people you like and get along with is natural! We have our own style, and yea while none of us have prestigous musical backgrounds, or large cultural influences, we still manage to produce some amazing unque rock that is easy to like.

The band is more then a hobby for us, it's a lifestyle. We all are always thinking about the band, and music, and women, and beer all the time (ok, that's not all we think about there is Friends, family, how bad work sucks, and video games too). And you know, as far as I am concered that's a great way to live life.

I have to say the best part of the band is the cool ass people that support and rock with us. I love seeing people get into shit we make, and seeing them happy because of something we did! That's amazing.

Oh and all the fucking cool people you get to meet as a band is unreal too. If you like what you hear, never be afraid to talk to us. You would make our day...

Nick's BIO: i am the guy sitting in the back of the band, hitting the round wooden shells with animal skins stretched over them. I have been playing drums for approximately for 8 great long years, and have had my fair share of "band" experiences along the way. I jammed with a bunch of people and been in counting now, 5 bands. 4 shotz, B.F.R.F., Severence, This Night, and now Olenik. I love the band experience, as well as the undescribable feeling of playing music in front of people. Plus, band dudes get all the chicks right? so maybe i'll meet mrs. right in the process. that would be a wild experience. hahaha, i play music for the plain fact that it gets my mind off of everything and i get to express what's in my heart and soul. I love the band that i am in and they are not only great musicians to play with and hear, but they are great friends and i hope the experiences always last

DAVE'S BIO: I'm Dave and yes, I play in the band too.
But also in our line up is "The Big O" himself, Jake Olenick. Of whom is our namesake and band mascot, cuz damn it he's a badass and he can represent with a big beer in hand! Although we totally spelled his last name wrong but it doesn't make the band or Jake any less Olenikesque (and yes that's a word). Also in our line up is Jimmy who has sage like advice and can party with the best of 'em! I also got to give a shout out to another big fan of ours Tonya who totally rocks! She has made it to almost all of our shows to cheer us on and party afterwards. (I'm detecting a theme with our group... party much?)
We all like to have a good time and we encourage our fans to do the same with us! Who knows you might inspire me to write a song about you if you rock and party hard enough with us. And feel free to ask us various questions about anything either on our myspace page or thewebsite. It's all fair game. No subject too taboo. Wanna know what the hell my songs are about? Feel free to ask. Want to know why Jason plays bass? I'll answer that one, cuz he can't play guitar! OH BUURN!... ok that was lame...
