Pianist Noah Baerman earned two degrees in Jazz Studies from Rutgers University, studying under Kenny Barron. His widely acclaimed 2003 release "Patch Kit" features bassist Ron Carter and drummer Ben Riley and landed Noah an appearance on Marian McPartland’s NPR program “Piano Jazz.” His most recent album, “Soul Force,” is a tribute to the life and message of Martin Luther King. Noah is a prolific composer who won First Prize for jazz in the 13th Billboard Song Contest and has earned several awards from ASCAP. He is also active as an educator, teaching at several institutions including Central Connecticut State University and Wesleyan University, and has written eight books and an instructional DVD for the Alfred Publishing Company.
