Bio
NED LUCAS, has just released his third CD, Big Boy’s Dream, on the 3 snappers label. After hearing Ned’s release Drawn To You, Barbara Cloyd of The Bluebird Café in Nashville, contacted him and made a standing offer, "Whenever your coming to Nashville, let us know. We want you on The Bluebird stage." In January of 2003, Ned took The Bluebird up on their offer and after that one performance, The Bluebird asked him to return as part of The Bluebird’s “Best Of Sunday” series. He performed there 4 times in 2003
Ned Lucas has been playing and writing music for 40 years. He has made a living as a traveling solo folk performer (while living out of the back of a '48 Chevy pickup named Winslo Joshua Armageddon), worked as a carpenter, a physicist, an engineer, a chimney sweep, and as the frontman of an original blues/rock power trio. He plays acoustic guitar, electric guitar (behind his back if necessary), Hammond organ, bass, harmonica, mandolin, banjo and a little fiddle. He has written and produced the music for two (2) critically acclaimed blues/rock CD's with his band, The Ned Lucas Band, for the independent 3 snappers label. Both have received airplay worldwide. But Ned writes and performs great acoustic music as well. He has appeared numerous times on the Cornell University radio show, Bound For Glory. Bound For Glory is the country's longest running live folk music radio show, which showcases only the best singer/songwriters touring the country today.
